About Us

Stacey Earl has been fascinated by how the human body works for as long as she can remember. That curiosity led her into an exercise science degree, with one foot in strength training and the other pointed toward physical therapy. In her final year, a hip injury sent her searching for answers that neither path had provided. A biomechanics course introduced her to Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT®), and a specialist found range-of-motion limitations that no physical therapist had ever thought to check. It was the first time she'd seen the body assessed that way — and after five sessions of MAT®, she was pain-free and back to Muay Thai. She enrolled in the MAT® internship in 2005 and has since reached the highest levels of MAT® education: Rx Total Body Specialist and MAT® Athlete.

That experience shaped not just her practice, but her entire approach to the body. Stacey holds a degree in exercise science and is certified as an ACSM Exercise Specialist and NASM Certified Personal Trainer. She has completed multiple DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) courses, several pelvic health certifications, and ongoing work in biomechanics. DNS principles guide how she thinks about movement: building the neurological and structural foundation that makes strength training effective, durable, and safe across all ages.

At Resilient Body, she works with adults and teen athletes using MAT® to identify and address what isn't firing, then progressing clients into intentional strength training built on what is. The combination is deliberate. MAT® finds the gaps. Strength training builds the foundation. The result is a body that can do more and hold up doing it.

Before Resilient Body, Stacey co-founded Muscle Activation of San Francisco, a MAT® clinic and gym where she trained specialists, mentored trainers, and built a practice she was proud of. When the pandemic ended MASF in 2020, she took everything she had learned and opened Resilient Body.
